How To Use MONAT Shampoo ad Conditioner

Your hair type, primary concerns and ultimate hair goals is what we use to identify the suitable system for your hair.

There are more than 5 systems to choose from so at the beginning stages of your hair diagnosis we are selecting based on your primary hair concerns and repairs – then we focus on strength and thickening!

Whatever shampoo and conditioner system you use, the method is the same:

Shampoo twice and condition once.

Your consultant might suggest you use the Black 2 in 1 as a clarifying wash. I do this myself once a month. I recommend the Black for a deeper clean or if you like your wash to ‘foam’

(Super Nourish Oil creme Shampoo and Conditioner is non foaming – the smoothing is low foaming – no MONAT products contain sulfates. The BLACK shampoo as a prewash will definitely make smoothing foam! Ask your consultant for a sample of black to give it a whirl! You will get three washes from one sample sachet of shampoo and conditioner)

Use a small amount of this concentrated shampoo product for your first wash. Think “Lifesaver” remember those candies? That’s about the amount to use. If you want to use more go for it.

  1. Emulsify the product between two hands before parting the hair in sections as you focus the product into the scalp.
  2. Once you are satisfied with the application massage your scalp then rinse. Shampoo again, with your focus on the scalp and roots. Then rinse again, very well.
  3. When you are sure you have rinsed it all out, rinse again to make sure!
  4. Squeeze the hair out the best you can before applying a ‘2 second squirt’ of conditioner to your hands. It will be a blob larger than the amount of shampoo you used.
  5. Emulsify the product between your hands before applying it 3/4 down the hair. Keep conditioner off the scalp – conditioning is for the hair shaft.
  6. Finger comb the conditioner through the hair then go about your face care routine while you allow the conditioner to do its job.Conditioning time is a great time to use the exfoliate (once a week) or the facial wash (daily of an evening)Exfoliate your body to invigorate circulation – you can use a mit, brush or face cloth to lift the old skin cells from your body giving your face and body a more youthful appearance.
  7. Wash out the conditioner by finger combing while the water is running through your hair – use your hand to squeeze the water out so you can rinse again.
  8. Squeeze rinse, squeeze rinse: and as you do this :::
  9. Allow any tension or struggles from the day be squeezed out of your hair and washed away down the drain.
  10. When you are sure you have rinsed all the conditioning product out, rinse again to make sure (Heheheee)
  11. Squeeze the hair out very well before exiting the shower recess.

Now, let’s mix it up for the health of your hair! Instead of coil drying your hair in a towel, consider using an old favourite t’shirt to absorb the excess water from your hair. The old favourite t’shirt is best against breakage. Towels can grip and snap the hair in weak spots. Consider the ol favourite shirt for longer stronger hair in the long term 😉

Once your hair is t’shirt dried (still damp but not dripping) squeeze a small squirt of blow out cream onto the palm of your hand.

Emulsify the product between 2 hands before applying to 3/4 down your hair like you would conditioner. Your hair will LOVE this product. It has a thermal heat protectant which is great if you live in a sunny place like North Queensland Australia or if you use hot tools like curling wands or hair dryers.

Scrunch the rest of the product into the ends of your hair

Allow your hair to air dry if you wish, this product is light enough for fine hair it’s so fabulous after washing to give you the perfect definition you always wished for!

Now finish with the glossy shine mist or 3 drops of Rejuvenique oil that will be on the first flexible shipment as a VIP customer!
