MONAT and MACS for online home business!

MONAT and MACS for online home business!

YAY! I’m back on the MAC wagon. PC was fun…. said no one ever

There is definitely something I want to shout out to all the MAC users who are all in running their online home business from, well home on the MaC!

If you’re smart (not like me) You probably always used Mac and you may or may not ever have thought about how easy it would be ‘to see where that hyperlink goes’ before actually clicking it to go there. If you don’t know what a hyper link is –

This is a hyperlink to my MONAT shop – while you are there take the beauty quiz for fun !

Can you already see where this link goes when you hover over it? Yes? go to #2
NO? Let’s change it up and open your world to a cool tool yet to be activated on your Mac

  1. How to make Safari show the web URL link when hovering over it
Let’s start by figuring out what the f*^k I’m talking about – You can practice again now by hovering over this hyperlink (to hover, just point your mouse cursor onto the hyperlink)
See anything at the bottom of the page? No? Let’s activate so you can see where all these little links are pointing before you head off and go there!

    STEPS:
    – go to VIEW menu in the safari bar up the top of your screen
    – select “show status bar”
    – now that you’ve done that: hover over this hyperlink and see what happens!

    YOU GOT IT!

Why do you need to know this??? See #2 >>>

  2. Use this tool to see who’s giving out backlinks on their blog
“Who gives a f*^k and what’s a backlink?” You say.

Backlinks were hot in the days before eyebrows became a thing. They were the thing everyone was trying to do a decade or more ago to get noticed by google – get more traffic etc

I don’t know what happened along the way but the IM world (IM = internet marketing) is now completely divided over whether or not they actually think it’s cool any more. I’m totally old skool so I keep it real in my formula and keep on keeping on building links when I can – not just for the backlink to my website (which used to be the point of it all) but these days it’s an interesting way to invite people back to your blog or IG by sharing experience in the comment and educating the masses to gain more of a following in an online home business.

When I visit worthwhile blogs – I like to agree with the original post (where possible) and share great advice with people the people who are reading the worthwhile blog posts. Education purposes that share my skills while also boosting the blog host who made the post at the same time – makes people want to find out more about me. Capiche?

So a backlink is a free link to pretty much anywhere you want – your own website – your instagram your facebook page … really, you can use it for anything to be honest – I use my website as the link so I can really help them and build a relationship at the same time without my help getting lost among a sea of double taps half way down the scroll page if ya na ta mean.

Next time you go to a blog, check out the comments and hover over a commenters name – does a link come up??? Maybe this is a great comment to post on. Also, just by the URL that will now show up after activating it in step one – you can now tell if you want to go there (click it) or not and read more of their content – for example – “Jeff might be commenting about a great way to grow strawberries BUT when you hover over his name his blog might be about erectile dysfunction” – see what I mean? Don’t add it to your search history by clicking it if you don’t have to hahahhaha

  3. HOW TO DO IT AND DO IT WELL! Comment like a pro on blog posts for web traffic in your online home business!
Well here we are at the step I didn’t start this post for LOL – I really just wanted to share this great tool of exposing the URL of any link you hover over because I’m almost 40 – completely tech savvy and didn’t know how to see where the hyperlink goes.

So now that we are talking about commenting – when you comment – don’t be a dick

Always thank the person who wrote the blog. Use their name. Say what you liked about their post. Agree about a point they made then step in with your great advice. Don’t sell your shit over the top of the blog host. That won’t get your comment published. You will get your comment published by being nice and helpful or asking a genuine question.

Other people surfing the net and reading these posts and comments (because we all read comments don’t we) they will be interested in your sense of humour or great advice and want to click your name and go to where you link them to because they find you interesting – they won’t if you are a dick.

Don’t be a dick unless they were a dick first.

If the original post host is a dick and you want to openly disagree with them, you might not get your comment published. Happened to me a few times when a few punks online (with zero proof) were openly slandering and defaming something I believed in. Needless to say my comment wasn’t published. Sometimes it will be tho if the post host is actually revved up to start an argument – then they will back and forth with you all day long. Interestingly google loves up to date interaction on websites and that’s why blogs rank high in google – especially the ones with comments. Comments are valuable for bloggers and crucial for website traffic when building an online home business.

With that in mind – a great example for a comment on this post would be

“Thanks for your consistently great content Karsha! I had no idea what I was missing out on with showing the URL thingy – that changed my days! Can you tell me what your secret is for getting so much organic traffic to your blog? And by the way – while you’re sharing all your secrets – what the heck are you using on your hair these days! You’re looking hawwwwt!”

    LOL !
